Honey Bees

"wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth:  and his eyes were enlightened."
I Samuel 14:27b

At church one day, I noticed a lady sitting on the front row of the back section, and there was a constant flow of people who stopped before her.  You could see their love for her as they smiled and spoke, many reaching out to touch her hand.  It reminded me of honey bees gathered around a lovely flower, each wanting to draw from the sweet nectar to enrich their own lives and the lives of the queen back in the hive.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if more of us were so filled with the love of God that we were a source of enrichment to every life we  touched?

We can be.  That ladies' secret was that she yielded her own life totally to God and He, in turn, used her as a vessel in His service.

My prayer for today:  Father, help me to "flower" in Your service.  Use me to enrich individual lives and home situations as well.
